Hello and Welcome to my next Travel Guide Destination. This week I am sharing a few of my favorite things to do and see. A Stands for Amazing Travel Adventures Massachusetts.

A STANDS FOR AMAZING ADVENTURE

Massachusetts has so much history and so many fun things to do and see through the state. I am a bit of a history buff so narrowing down my list to share a few of my favorite things was much harder than I thought it would be. Here are my favorite Massachusetts Amazing Travel Adventures.

Fish, Fine Art and an Elite Education

1. The New England Aquarium is located in Boston, Massachusetts. They house over 20,000 animals and over 600 species. There is something for everyone. For more information and updates visit their website at www.near.org or click here.

2. The Boston Museum of Fine Art collection is nearly 450, 000 works of art. World renowned paintings, sculptures, ceramics and the most amazing exhibitions can all be found here. For more information and updates visit their website at www.mfa.org or click here.

3. Are you wanting to park your car in the Harvard yard? I highly recommend visiting Harvard University. Established in 1636 it is the oldest University in the United States. Parks and Trails and Baseball

1. Boston Common is the oldest Park in the United States, founded in 1634. I must say it is also one of the most beautiful parks located in a downtown area. The park continues to be a stage for free speech and public assembly. You never know what you might see when you stop by. 2. The Freedom Trail is a 3 mile walk and showcases the following: The State House. Park Street Church. Granary Burying Ground. King’s Chapel. Benjamin Franklin’s Statue Site of Boston Latin School. Old Corner Bookstore. Old South Meeting House. Boston Massacre. Faneuil Hall. Paul Revere House. Old North Church. Copp’s Hill Burial Ground. USS Constitution. Bunker Hill Monument.

3. Fenway Baseball Park is located in Boston, Massachusetts. It has been the home for the Boston Red Sox baseball team since 1912. Seeing the Green Monster up close and personal was a bucket list check off for me. For more information and updates visit their website at www.mlb.com or click here.

Hauntings and Hospitals and Witches

1. The Lizzie Borden House is now a Bed & Breakfast / Museum. It is the original house where the 1892 double murder took place located in Falls River, Massachusetts. Interested in unsolved murders and the supernatural? Visit their website at www.lizzie-borden.com or click here.

2. The Danvers State Hospital opened on May 1, 1876 and was demolished in 2006. The hospital campus once covered over 500 acres. Some historians believe the hospital was the inspiration for the infamous Arkham sanatorium. Have you read/ watched Batman? It’s in there! 3. The Salem Witch House is located in, you guessed it, in Salem Massachusetts. The house officially once belonged to Judge Jonathan Corbin and is the only structure still standing in Salem with direct ties to the witch trials in 1692. Looking for something a bit more musical and fun? I highly recommend running a muck, a muck, a muck, while visiting the Hocus Pocus movie set locations.
