New Hampshire Themed Cocktails

Reading Time: 4 minutes

New Hampshire Themed Cocktails shares a blend of tradition and creativity. From its picturesque landscapes to its rich history, New Hampshire offers a unique backdrop for enjoying Themed Cocktails. This charming state is known for its lively bar scene and unique drink offerings that combine traditional flavors with modern twists. In this blog post, you can explore some of the must try cocktails in New Hampshire, showcasing creativity and craftsmanship of local mixologists.

Maple Old Fashioned

Celebrating a local delicacy, the Maple Old Fashioned. New Hampshire is famous for its maple syrup production. The Maple Old Fashioned is a delightful twist on my favorite classic cocktail. It incorporates rich and sweet flavors of maple syrup with oak flavors of bourbon.

Add 3 ounces bourbon, 1 ounce maple syrup, 3 dashes aromatic bitters and 3 dashes orange bitters into cocktail glass. Stir well. Add ice as desired. I am a fan of adding ice, are you?

Granite State Martini

Cheers to a touch of elegance. For those seeking a sophisticated drink, the Granite State Martini is the perfect choice. Named after New Hampshire’s nickname, “The Granite State,” this cocktail combines the crispness of vodka and blueberries. Highbush blueberries are native to the New Hampshire area. I vote picking your own blueberries!

Fill cocktail shaker with ice. Add 2 ounces vodka, 2 ounces blueberry liqueur and 1 ounce simple syrup. Cover and shake until shaker becomes frosty and most of the ice has melted. Strain into chilled martini glass. Garnish with blueberries.

Autumn Apple Cider

As the leaves change color and the air turns crisp, New Hampshire comes alive with the flavors of autumn. The Autumn Apple Cider captures the essence of this season, blending apple cider and whiskey. Are you a fan of Autumn and the colors that it brings? Colored leaves and crisp air are a win, win in my book!

Grab your favorite mug. Add 6 ounces hot apple cider, 2 ounces whiskey and 1 ounce lemon juice. Stir well. Garnish with lemon as desired. And embrace the season!

White Mountain Cooler

To combat the summer heat, New Hampshire residents and visitors turn to the White Mountains Cooler. Named after the majestic White Mountains that dominate the state’s northern region, this cocktail is a refreshing escape on a hot day. Or a cooler day. I am an adult lemonade fan anytime of year.

Add 2 ounces gin and 6 ounces lemonade into cocktail shaker filled with ice. Cover and shake until shaker becomes frosty and most of the ice has melted. Strain ingredients into Collin’s glass filled with ice. Garnish with lemon as desired. Cheers to creating a light and invigorating drink that pays tribute to the state’s natural beauty.

Seacoast Spritz

New Hampshire’s seacoast is a treasure trove of fresh seafood and stunning views. The Seacoast Spritz is a cocktail that captures the essence of this coastal region. They say salt water cures all wounds and I am a believer.

Fill cocktail shaker with ice. Add 2 ounces vodka and 2 ounces St Germaine. Cover and shake until shaker becomes frosty and most of the ice has melted. Strain ingredients into glass filled with ice cubes. Top off with sparkling water. Cheers to bringing a taste of the sea right to your glass.

New Hampshire 75

The New Hampshire 75 is another nod to New Hampshire’s maple syrup production. Adding maple syrup in place of the simple syrup adds the twist you will definitely fall in love with. History of the cocktail states drinking one of these cocktails had such a kick it was like being hit with a French 75 field gun. The recipe below is a much safer and tastier version.

Add 2 ounces gin, 1 ounce lemon juice and 1 ounce maple syrup to mixing glass. Stir well. Pour ingredients into glass and top off with sparkling wine. Cheers to maple twists on tasty classics.
