Can’t Miss April 2024 Events

North Park Festival of Beers is scheduled to take place Saturday April 6, 2024. This Can’t Miss Event will be held in the North Park, California. Not only will there be over 50 breweries to sample the proceeds from this event are donated to The San Diego Music Foundation. That’s a win, win in my book!

VIP tickets are $60.00 and offer unlimited beer samples and an early admission entry starting at 12:00pm. VIP hours are 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm. General Admission tickets are $40.00 and offer unlimited beer samples and general admission entry at 1:00pm. GA hours are 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm. Looking for a little Pop with your Culture? Check out CyPha Con happening April 5 – April 7 in Lake Charles, Louisiana. CyPhaCon is a Can’t Miss Event created for fans, by fans and run by fans. That person at the registration desk, a fan volunteer. The person giving you directions to the panel you want to see, a fan volunteer. Behind the scenes CyPha Con is a dedicated group of geeks that wanted to create an all genres, all ages community where fans can share, laugh and love all things sci-fi and beyond.

If it’s FREE, it’s for me! The French Quarter Festival is a free, annual music festival scheduled to take place April 11 – April 14, 2024. This free Can’t Miss Event is located in the historic French Quarter of New Orleans, Louisiana. Their website states more than 1,500 community volunteers help to make the festival a success. The FQF hosts over 20 stages throughout the French Quarter to showcase local music. Jazz, check. R&B, they got it. Zydeco, one of my favorite types of music. Something about playing the washboard as an instrument that gets my toes tapping. And so many more types of music. There is something for everyone and every age. And don’t get me started on the food (over 60 restaurants participate)!

Fan Expo Cleveland is scheduled for April 12 – April 14, 2024. Whatever your fandom might be – anime, comics, gaming and more, it can be found at Huntington Convention Center in Cleveland, Ohio. Fan Expo HQ’s website states it is the largest comic con producer in the world, That means Fan Expo Cleveland will have the best of the best. Autographs, Photos, Panels, Workshops and so much more. I am so excited Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio from the Dare Devil series will be there. King Pin is so good at being bad!

Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly Weekend is scheduled to take place April 18 – April 21, 2024. It will take place, you guessed it, in Las Vegas, Nevada at the Orleans Hotel and Casino. Their website states it is four nonstop days of music (over 100 bands will be performing on 6 stages), hot rods (pre-1960’s car show), dancing (DJs will also be spinning all weekend), burlesque shows (valid ID will be required to attend), pool parties (April isn’t too hot yet, unless you are me, I am hot all of the time), shopping (I always leave room in my suitcase for items I didn’t know I needed) and more. Calling all The Wheel of Time Fans! Jordan Con is an annual Can’t Miss Event that will take place April 19 – April 21, 2024 in Atlanta, Georgia. Jordan Con showcases all things Robert Jordan and so much more. They had me at Author Workshops and Cosplay Contest, although, I must say, an entire Con devoted to the Wheel of Time Book Series would be a great way to spend any weekend.

Two Step Inn Festival will take place April 20 – April 21, 2024 in Georgetown, Texas. San Gabriel Park will be hosting four different stages featuring over 35 artists and multiple dance floors. It’s called Two Step Inn afterall. Their website says Welcome to the World’s Largest Outdoor Honky Tonk! If you love new country, old country or are just country curious, Two Step Inn Festrival is the place to be. Cowboy boots are not requited but highly recommended. Four State Comic Con is taking place April 27 – April 28, 2024 in, you guessed it, Hagerstown, Maryland. This Can’t Miss Event is showcasing Celebrity Guests, Comic Books, Cosplay (you all know I love Cosplay),  and so much more. I do need to let you all know the Emmy nominated voice actor for Squidward in Sponge Bob Square Pants will be present for autographs and panels. Please come again!

Project Glow is an annual Can’t Miss Event taking place this year April 27 – April 28, 2024. RFK Festival grounds in Washington, DC will host three stages and over 50 artists including bands, DJs and bands with DJs. Their website states they will be Celebrating 20 years of dance culture and history on the Eastern Seaboard, Project GLOW is bringing favorites old and new from all corners of the globe.
