The following cocktail recipes were inspired by the August 2022 Can’t Miss Events blog post from last week. Nightmare Nightcap – Flashback Weekend Chicago
Cheers to a coffee, no time to sleep, Nightmare on Elm Street Themed Cocktail. To create a Nightmare Nightcap to help you NOT fall asleep: Fill cocktail shaker with ice. Add 2 dashes bitters, 2 ounces cold brew espresso roast, 2 ounces Cruzan dark aged rum and 1 ounce maple syrup. Cover and shake until shaker becomes frosty and most of the ice has melted. Strain all ingredients into coffee mug filled with ice. Top off with club soda to taste. 1, 2 Freddy’s coming for you!
Obi Wan a Cocktail – Fan Expo Boston
Ewan McGregor will be a special celebrity guest at Fan Expo Boston. In his honor, Obi WAN’s honor, I have created the Obi Wan a Cocktail. Add 2 ounces Bombay Dry Gin, 2 ounces Blueberry Liqueur and 2 ounces Blue Curaçao to a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Cover and shake until shaker becomes frosty and most of the ice has melted. Strain ingredients into chilled Martini glass. Have you ever been afraid of the dark?
The Cliff Cocktail – Emerald City Comic Con
“I got this. I speak robot” – Cliff Steele AKA Robotman. Well, I might not be able to speak robot, but I can create a robot cocktail. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Pour 2 ounces vodka, 2 ounces Campari and 2 ounces sloe gin. Shake until shaker becomes frosty and most of the ice has melted. Strain all ingredients into cocktail glass filled with ice. Don’t feel left out, cheers to the Cliff Cocktail.
A Sour Ghost – CreepyCon Halloween & Horror Convention
I came for the party, stayed for the boos! Fill cocktail shaker with ice. Add 2 ounces Altos Tequilia, 1 ounce Galliano and 1 ounce lemon juice. Cover and shake until shaker becomes frosty and most of the ice has melted. Strain ingredients into cocktail glass filled with ice. Little sour. Lots of spirit!
