Lollapalooza, one the the most renowned music festivals in the world, will be back in Chicago for another unforgettable weekend. From lobster eating contests ( I am going to say no) to live music (I will say yes to that), the festival is a fantastic opportunity to savor the best lobster dishes, the best live music and the best coastal scenery.

The Georgia Pop Culture & Horror Con in Columbus, GA is an event that brings together fans of pop culture, sci-fi, fantasy, and horror for a one-of-a-kind experience. From comic books to movies, TV shows, and everything in between, this convention celebrates all aspects of popular culture. Fans have the opportunity to meet their favorite celebrities and see a Friday the 13th VI: Jason Lives reunion of sorts. C.J Graham (Jason Voorhees) and Thom Matthews (Tommy Jarvis) will be attending this must see event.

The convention also features a wide array of vendors offering unique merchandise, collectibles, and memorabilia. Attendees can immerse themselves in the world of horror with interactive exhibits, cosplay contests, and special screenings of classic and contemporary horror films. Advanced Single Day tickets are $20. Advanced Weekend tickets purchased online are $50.

From comic book enthusiasts to sci-fi aficionados, this convention has something for everyone and is a celebration of all things geeky and nerdy.

One of the highlights of Fan Expo Chicago is the incredible lineup of celebrity guests. From beloved actors to renowned comic book artists, these guests grace the convention halls, signing autographs and participating in panels. Do I want to start the Star Wars versus Star Trek discussion now? Or should we let attending celebrity guests Mark Hamill and William Shatner figure out once and for all which one is the BEST! Single Day Advanced tickets are $38. 3 Day Advanced tickets are $89. Ticket prices will increase August 1, 2024.

How would you like some whiskey tasting with your Scottish Highland Gathering and Games? Men in kilts and whiskey tasting? Be still my beating heart! The Alameda Fairgrounds will be offering two of my favorite things in one location. Whiskey and Barrel Nite is sharing over 150 whiskies to sample. It a must see and must taste event. I don’t know if they had me at kilts or had me at whiskey? Can you choose a winner?

General Admission tickets to the tasting are $35 (7 tastings) plus the cost to enter the fairgrounds. VIP tickets are $45 (12 tastings) plus the cost to enter the fairgrounds.
