Hello and welcome to The Dark Side of Sci-fi and Fantasy Themed Cocktails. Join me as I share cocktails in honor of the stars appearing at Crypticon Seattle 2022. Crypticon Seattle is the largest event for fans of the macabre in the Pacific Northwest. The horror themed convention is scheduled to take place May 20 – 22, 2022 and the celebrity guest list is certainly something to scream over.
Darkness Cocktail – Elvira Mistress of the Dark
Fill cocktail shaker with ice. Add 2 ounces vodka, 3 ounces Crème de Cassis and 1 ounce Kahlua. Cover and shake until shaker becomes frosty and most of the ice has melted. Add 1 -2 ounces ginger beer to taste. Stir well. Strain ingredients into chilled martini glass. Cheers to unpleasant dreams! Please drink responsibly.
Bloody Prom Queen – Carrie
Fill cocktail shaker with ice. Add 3 ounces tequila, 2 ounces lime juice and 1 ounce fiery ginger syrup. Cover and shake until shaker becomes frosty and most of the ice has melted. Strain ingredients into chilled martini glass. Pour 1 ounce red wine over spoon to create the layer. Red. I might have known it would be red Carrie’s Mother. Please drink responsibly.
Pink F*ck – Ash vs Evil Dead
Fill cocktail shaker with ice. Add 3 ounces vodka, 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg, 3 ounces lemonade, 3 ounces strawberry purée and a splash of grenadine. Cover and shake until shaker becomes frosty and most of the ice has melted. Strain ingredients into cocktail glass filled with ice. Cheers to life. Life is hard and dangerous, and sometimes you just gotta chop off somebody’s head to survive – Ash. Please drink responsibly.
Crypt Keeper Cocktail – Tales From the Crypt
Fill cocktail shaker with ice. Add 1 ounce lime juice, 1 ounce lemon juice, 2 ounces whiskey, 2 ounces brandy, 1/2 teaspoon honey and 2 dashes bitters. Cover and shake until shaker becomes frosty and most of the ice has melted. Strain ingredients into cocktail glass filled with ice. Garnish with lemon as desired. Cheers to boils and ghouls pleasant screams. Please drink responsibly.
