Hello and welcome to Amazing Adventures – My Spokane Experience where I will be sharing my destination guide Spokane. Here discover Rubies and Sapphires. Peacocks in the ceiling. Dollar bill walls and so much more. Let’s travel Spokane.
RubIEs and Sapphires – Spokane

Check out 901 W 1st Ave and discover The Hotel Ruby. It is a 1960’s, renovated motor inn, turned boutique hotel. The Hotel is located in the heart of Spokane’s entertainment district. Themed rooms. Tall shower heads. Comfortable beds and so much more. Start planning your next vacation or getaway at www.hotelrubyspokane.com.
The Sapphire Lounge is a cocktail bar located within the Hotel Ruby. The Lounge features northwest breweries, boutique wineries and an amazing atmosphere. Happy Hour is daily Tuesday – Saturday 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm. Late night Happy Hour is Friday & Saturday 10:00 pm – Close. Oktoberfest brewed by Jeremiah Johnson and Thai Chicken Flatbread are now on my favorites list. Win, win. Check out their event calendar at www.sapphireloungespokane.com
Peacocks and Martinis – Spokane

Looking for history, beauty and a signature cocktail? Welcome to the Peacock Room Lounge in the historic Davenport Hotel. The Lounge is a bar area serving amazing cocktails. I ordered The Davenport Peanut Brittle Martini for $14. Ingredients include Absolut vanilla vodka, Godiva white chocolate liqueur, Butterscotch schnapps, peanut butter syrup and cream. They top it off with Davenport’s signature peanut brittle. The true topper is the peacock in the ceiling. 5, 000 pieces of glass create this amazing piece of art displayed in ceiling of the Lounge. Photos really don’t do it justice. Planning on seeing this masterpiece for yourself? Visit www.davenporthotelcollection.com for lounge hours and directions.
Guinness and Scotch Eggs- Spokane

O’Doherty’s Irish Grille is located at 525 W Spokane Falls Blvd. The Grille has Happy Hour daily 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm which offers $1 off appetizers, tap beers, well drinks and wine. I wasn’t there during happy hour and gladly paid full price for Banger Bites, Patty’s Scotch Eggs, a pint of Guinness and an Irish coffee. So much deliciousness. You know when you walk into an Irish pub that has a piece of the Guinness storehouse from Dublin on the wall, the Irish fare and great spirits offered will be authentic. Their website www.odohertyspub.com. is full of history, food events and more.
Fried Green Tomatoes – Spokane

Frank’s Diner can be found at 1516 W 2nd Ave. Be prepared to wait if it is breakfast you are looking for. Waiting for me was a benefit since it allowed me to soak up the history and ambience. This presidential rail car has been beautifully restored and serving food since 1931. I took a seat at the counter and watched plates of deliciousness being created from scratch. The chef really knows what they are doing! I ordered Fried Green Tomatoes and they were delicious and I would order them again if they were available. They are a limited menu item. Check out the diner’s food items and hours at www.franksdiners.com.
Salvaged Decor – Spokane

Zola’s website states they are Spokane’s best place to eat, drink, look and listen. I couldn’t agree more. Located at 22 W Main Ave, they are open for dining in and live music Tuesday – Saturday 4:00 pm – Close. I discovered this gem on a Thursday and they closed at midnight. They had me at live music! Well, and their signature Zola 75 which had Sipsmith Gin, lemon, simple syrup, Prosecco and St Germaine. Cheers to great music and great cocktails. Click www.zolainspokane.com to find their event calendar and featured artists.
Waterfalls and Sculptures – Spokane

Spokane Riverfront Park is over 100 acres found along the Spokane River. The Park is newly renovated and filled with attractions and areas to explore. Metal sculptures (free), water sculptures(free) and Sky-rides ($10 for adults) are only a few of the adventures to be seen and experienced at The Riverfront. This was my first visit to Spokane, Washington. It won’t be my last. I made plans to attend Lilac City Comic Con held October 2 – 3, 2021 at the Spokane Convention Center, but arrived early to explore the city. Discover Can’t Miss Events – Lilac City Comic Con by reading my blog post. I am starting my planning already for their next event scheduled for June 2022.
Until Next Time,
